MMSD partnered with the City of Brookfield to purchase two conservation easements that include extensive flood plain portions of Underwood Creek totaling 16.16 acres. These easements will allow Underwood Creek to naturally store rainwater and help protect homes built along the river. The former Knull property easement consists of 89% hydric soils and protects 200 feet of Underwood Creek.
