The US Fish and Wildlife Service and Pheasants Forever are restoring 56 acres of the former Reinders property, located in the upper reaches of the Menomonee River. A large farm field and ditch running through the property was likely once a marsh before it was drained for farming. Plans call for disconnecting drain tiles to allow water to pool on the property during rains. Native grasses will be restored. This property consists of 50% hydric soils.
