Both birders and bicyclists are enjoying the former Vanselow property, now owned by the City of Oak Creek, located along Pennsylvania Avenue just north of Oakwood Road. Milwaukee bird watchers have long enjoyed watching ducks during migration and elusive marsh birds on this property during the summer. Bicyclists pedal by this newly completed portion of Milwaukee County’s Oak Leaf Trail that provides access to over 90 miles of trails that completely circle the county. MMSD partnered with the City of Oak Creek and used a grant from the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program to contribute a portion of the purchase price for this easement.
