Publicly Inspired Goals and Objectives (3/13/05)
Since watersheds ignore political, social and economic boundaries, it is important
to involve everyone who’s interested. We want to find out what’s important to you
and what your vision is for your own watershed. Your have a voice in helping to
shape the future of the region’s water resources. After all, it’s your environment
and your tax dollars that help protect it.
Get involved!
You can become part of the solution by learning as much as you can about your own
watershed. It’s also important to read or ask about water quality issues and to be
active in groups that are already working to improve the environment.
- Get on the e-mail distribution list for the District’s Water Quality
Initiative. Receive our environmental updates and newsletters by clicking
here, or call (414) 225-2070.
- Look for notices on open house-type events sponsored by MMSD or other groups.
- If your group ever needs more detailed information, a Water Quality
Initiative representative can speak directly to your organization upon
request (contact us).
- Check this Web site for updates and other community events related to water
quality planning.
- There are numerous volunteer activities within the community that focus on
protecting or improving our waterways check out these links and get involved
in you watershed!
The bottom line is to get involved in protecting water quality, either by
staying informed, attending meetings or volunteering.
