April 2026 Storms: Bay View Community Follow-Up Open House

Building on the October 6, 2026, Open House, April 2026 Storms and Our Sewer System, MMSD is hosting a second open house on Thursday, November 5, 5:30-7:00 PM, that will focus on claim filing, updates on efforts to better understand flooding/basement backups in the area, and resources available to Bay View homeowners.

Topics will include: 

• Filing a claim with MMSD: How to submit a claim, what information is needed, and submit your claim at the meeting if you bring all required documentation. 

• What contributes to basement backups: How sewer capacity, maintenance, and heavy rainfall can affect the risk of backups. 

• Future efforts: Updates on efforts to better understand flooding/basement backups in the area.

• Resources for homeowners: Practical steps and available resources to help prepare for future storms and reduce the risk of basement backups.
