GIS Maps and Data

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District GIS group provides geospatial leadership, expertise, communication, and coordination to support the core business processes of the District. The GIS group administers the distribution of current, accurate, high-quality geospatial data and a platform of integrated GIS maps and tools to support the District’s Strategic Mission to protect public health and environment through world-class, cost-effective water resource management, leadership, and partnerships.

MMSD is a participating member of Wisconsin’s One-Call Center, Diggers Hotline, and operates as a receiving station for tickets responding to planned as well as unanticipated excavation activities. The District is responsible for assessing the information in the tickets and taking action to protect District facilities, human life and the environment.
