Interested in doing business with MMSD? Learn how to register as a vendor, explore current and upcoming procurement opportunities, and navigate our procurement process. Our goal is to ensure all qualified vendors have the opportunity to compete for and succeed on MMSD projects.
MMSD operates two water reclamation facilities, Jones Island and South Shore, that treat over 150 million gallons of wastewater daily, returning clean water to Lake Michigan and producing renewable resources like Milorganite® fertilizer. MMSD also leads flood management projects that restore natural waterways and improve stormwater conveyance to reduce the risk of floods in vulnerable neighborhoods. MMSD’s green infrastructure strategies include permeable pavements, green roofs, rain gardens, and bioswales to capture stormwater and ease the use of sewer systems.
To prepare for upcoming contracting opportunities, your business should:
We recognize a variety of certifications for Small, Women-, Minority-, and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (S/W/MBEs) from other certifying agencies. If your firm qualifies as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), you may also apply for certification directly through MMSD. Learn more about accepted certifications and how to apply.
MMSD offers business capacity development training and networking opportunities to help businesses better compete for and participate in MMSD projects.
